Professional Recipe for Slow Cooker Beef Stew

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs Stew Beef, cut into cubes
  • 2 tsp Olive Oil
  • 2 Cups Water
  • 1 Tbs Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder or 1 Fresh Clove Garlic, minced
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Raw Sugar
  • ½ tsp Ground Black Pepper
  • ½ tsp Smoked Paprika
  • ½ tsp Turmeric
  • ½ tsp Onion Powder
  • â…› tsp Ground Cloves
  • 4 large Carrots, quartered and cut into small pie-shaped pieces
  • 3 Celery Stalks, halved and cut into small pieces
  • 2 Tbs Corn Starch
  • ¼ cup Water
  • 1 packet Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix

Directions:

  1. In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the stew beef in olive oil for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Transfer the browned meat to a crockpot.
  3. Add 2 cups of water and all the remaining ingredients except corn starch and Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix to the crockpot.
  4. Cook the mixture in the crockpot on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
  5. 45 minutes before serving, in a small bowl, dissolve 2 tablespoons of corn starch in ¼ cup of cold water.
  6. Once dissolved, add the corn starch mixture and the packet of Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix to the crockpot.
  7. Stir well and let it cook for the remaining time.
  8. Serve the delicious slow-cooked beef stew hot and enjoy!
