Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 cup shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup jicama, julienned
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned
  • 1 cup green beans, chopped
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 pack lumpia wrappers
  • Oil for frying

Directions:

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground pork. Add shrimp and cook until pink; then, incorporate minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  2. Stir in jicama, carrots, green beans, and bean sprouts. Cook until the vegetables reach a tender-crisp consistency.
  3. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Mix thoroughly and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and allow it to cool.
  4. Spoon a portion of the filling onto a lumpia wrapper, fold the sides in, and roll tightly. Seal the edge with water.
  5. In a deep pan, heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the lumpia until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve with your preferred dipping sauce.
